The executive order was issued to protect the community, as well as lessen the burden on the health care system from the flu season and COVID-19, UC officials said in a release1
“The executive order is an important proactive measure to help protect members of the UC community — and the public at large — and to ameliorate the severe burdens on health care systems anticipated during the coming fall and winter from influenza and COVID-19 illnesses,†officials said.
All faculty and staff who work at a UC location will have to get the vaccination.
