As the Pentagon’s policy chief, Christine Wormuth worked to carry out President Obama’s pivot to the Asia Pacific.
Wormuth, a former top policy official at the Defense Department during the Obama administration, recently led Biden’s Pentagon agency review team through one of the most contentious transitions in modern history, and has been in and out of the Pentagon since she began her public service career in the policy office in 1996.In 2010, she moved to the National Security Council, where she directed defense policy and strategy, before returning once more to the Pentagon as deputy under secretary of defense for strategy, plans and force development in 2012.
