Julian Edelman trolls Tom Brady over 'Madden NFL 22' cover - New York Post

In response to Thursday’s reveal that Brady and Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes would grace the cover of “Madden NFL 22” together, Edelman celebrated the seven-time Super Bowl champ by reminding him of his roots.

The 199th overall pick in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft, Brady took the quarterback reins in New England from Drew Bledsoe during the 2001 season, when he won his first Super Bowl as a Patriot.

In March 2020, however, Brady signed a two-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The 43-year-old quarterback won his seventh Super Bowl title in February when he defeated Mahomes, 25, and the Chiefs.

Brady, a longtime friend of Edelman, praised his former target in a heartfelt Instagram post

Unlike former Patriot Rob Gronkowski, who joined Brady in Tampa Bay, Edelman made it clear last month that he won’t be sporting Buccaneers threads in the future
