Kanye West said on Thursday that fathers should have equal say in how their kids are raised after his public battle with Kim Kardashian over their children's schooling. .

In an interview on Good Morning America, the 45-year-old rapper said he had to 'fight for his voice' in his four children's lives and that other men shouldn't have to. .

And I have a right to have a voice on what my kids are wearing, what they're watching, what they're eating. .

His comments come weeks after he accused Kim and Hulu, the Kardashian family's streaming giant partner, of railroading him when choosing where the kids go to school. .

He compared himself to a sperm donor without a say, and fumed over the fact that the kids were attending a posh private school in L.A.

when he wanted them to go to his school, the Donda Academy, set up in honor of his late mother.  .

In an apparent sign of victory - or at least peace with Kim - he shared videos last night of his two oldest children North, nine, and Saint, six, at his school - the Donda Academy.

Kim and Kanye had four children together before she filed for divorce in February.

In his interview, Kanye - who now goes by just Ye - explained that as he and Kim warred over the kids' upbringing, he was also battling Adidas and Gap over creative control of his Yeezy products.

It was kind of a disregard for the voice I have in something I co-created. I co-created the children, I co-created the product at Gap and I co-created the product at Adidas,' he said.

'I want my kids to go to Donda and I have to fight for a say so.

He however said he had a 'new respect' for Kim, and that he always wanted her to be 'calm'.

At Donda, he said children 'spread' and 'sing' the gospel.

He added that his aim was 'to build a school that gives kids practical tools that they need in the world.'

Earlier in the interview, he said social media could be of both harm and benefit.

In his meltdown last month, Kanye fumed that Kim was trying to take charge of their four children's schooling.

They had been married for six years, during which time they welcomed four children; North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm

He said he wanted children to learn about space travel in a 'shoutout to Elon Musk'.

Our school is around engineering,' he said in a September 16 interview with Alo Yoga founder Danny Harris.

In the clip, Kanye fumed: 'You don't got the answers, Sway!'

In July 2020, while still married, he told a crowd at a political rally that he and Kim had considered abortion when she was pregnant with their oldest daughter, North.

In a candid 2019 interview with David Letterman for his Netflix show My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, he explained how he felt during manic episodes.
