Louisa Jacobson is to star in the leading role of the new series The Gilded Age which is being dubbed at the US version of Downton Abbey.

The star, 30, who is the daughter of Oscar-winning actress Meryl Streep, will play the character of aspiring writer Marian Brook who moves from Pennsylvania to New York to live with her wealthy aunts. .

Denee Benton and Louisa appeared on set back in April of this year in Victorian gowns as they filmed in New York City. .
