Miranda Lambert shared on Thursday that her 'sweet' Golden Retriever Jessi had died, though no cause of death has been revealed. .

The 37-year-old country artist announced her dog's passing with a series of images throughout their 13 1/2 years together, after she rescued she and her brother from the side of the road when they were just six weeks old. .

Tragic loss: Miranda Lambert, 37, announced that her Golden Retriever Jessi had passed away with an emotional tribute post of their time together over the past 13 1/2 years .

Lengthy tribute: Miranda penned a lengthy caption where she spoke about all the love her Jessi and Waylon had given her.

In her post Miranda shared snaps with her beloved pooch Jessi and her late dog Waylon spanning over a decade, and one snap featured her husband of two years Brendan McLoughlin kissing Jessi. .

I got to love her and be her mom for 13 1/2 years,' Lambert began. .

'I found her and her brother Waylon on the side of the road in Oklahoma in Jan 2008 in the middle of a sleet storm.

And she said that the love and nurture the teams provided gave her 'extra years we wouldn't have had with Jessi and Way and I'm so grateful.'
