The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is asking people to check their onions after a salmonella outbreak sickened more than 650 people across the country.
The company last imported the affected onions on Aug.
According to the CDC, cases tied to the contaminated onions started appearing Sept.
The CDC also advised businesses to check storage coolers for the affected onions.
Most people infected with salmonella develop symptoms, including diarrhea, fever and stomach cramps, within six hours to six days of being exposed to the bacteria
