As a quick reminder for any keen Animal Crossing: New Horizons players, the next fishing tourney event takes place tomorrow on Saturday, 11th July.

If you took part in New Horizons' first fishing tourney on Saturday 11th April, you'll be pretty clued up on how it all works, but let us go over a few things here just in case.

You'll be presented with a fishing challenge that can earn you lots of lovely prizes, so it's well worth taking a bit of time out of your day to get involved.

Even if you earned plenty of prizes last time, you could always try to beat your high-score by giving it your all once again?

Got the gold trophy last time which was pretty tedious.

If I already earned 300 points from the last tourney, can I earn 300 points in the next fishing tourney to get more trophies, or are they accumulative across tournaments.

Haven't rly been playing this game much anymore besides just checking what's in the shops each day.

I might participate in the tourney but it probably won't be for very long.

I kinda gave up on fishing in this game a long time ago...it's always a stupid bass (or trash, lol), or I end up reacting way too early!

I hate those fishing mechanics...in any game.

@Joeynator3000 the only game for me that ever got fishing right was GoVacation.

I've become very proficient at fishing the last few days (have had the game for a week now), landing whale sharks and great white ones is never tiring.

Game needs some clarification on the area of designs and projecting them on to surfaces.

I’ll probably never go for a gold this time as last time I just did enough to get the prizes?

My favorite fishing in a game is ocarina of time, those were the days.

Works every time for those really elusive pier fish.
