After a year of adjustments, thousands of students in Greenville are preparing to attend summer school.

Nearly 6,500 of the roughly 74,000 Greenville County students will head back to the classroom during the next few weeks.

“We have more students than ever before who need this remediation,” said district spokesman Tim Waller.
