Great Barrier Reef biobank design reveals future for global coral protection - ABC News

Tourism Port Douglas Daintree chief executive Tara Bennett said the bio-bank would be a major tourism drawcard for the region.

"It would really cement our position as a leading destination for accessing the Great Barrier Reef," Ms Bennett said

"The big question is how to get the build to happen but I think now is the time to be thinking big about how tourism in the region will be in the future."
