The Crown season five to release on schedule despite Queen's death - 9Honey

Season five of the hit series will be aired on the 9th of November, 2022, according to Netflix, with a focus on the 1990s, a decade rife with strife for the royal family.

The show is set to focus mainly on "Prince Charles' affair with Camilla Parker Bowles, and the treatment of Princess Diana," according to British royal reporter Omid Scobie.

The year 1992, for example, brought the dissolution of the marriages of three of the Queen's children - Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and most famously Prince Charles.

Production of The Crown was shut down on the day of the Queen's death on 8th September, 2022, as well as for her funeral on the 19th of September, according to a Netflix spokesperson.
