Ellen Pompeo suggests this could be the final season of Grey's Anatomy: 'This year could be it' - 9TheFIX

Grey's Anatomy has been going for an incredible 16 seasons and Ellen Pompeo has suggested the upcoming 17th season could be it's last.

"We don't know when the show is really ending yet," Pompeo said.

The upcoming season of Grey's will address the coronavirus pandemic, and Pompeo teased that fans are in for a real treat.

Last month, Pompeo dedicated Season 17 to "all who have fallen and to every one of you who by the grace of God is still standing," saying, "This season is for you with humility and a bit of humour to get us through and endless amounts of gratitude.

Despite production being suspended due to COVID-19, Pompeo assured the new season of Grey's will be "one of our best.".
