It gave the Magpies further draft points to match an inevitably early bid on father-son prospect Nick Daicos, while the Tigers acquired a third second-round selection to now hold Picks 26, 27 and 28.

While Collingwood now has enough points to match any bid on Daicos – they hold Picks 36, 38, 40, 46, 48, 55 and 58 – it’s still looking to add teenage talent to its list, with the club expected to use three to four picks to take players at the draft.

Their first selection, at this stage, is Pick 23 – and foxfooty.com.au understands that selection is up for grabs, with the Dogs hopeful of trading it out for multiple later picks and, possibly, more capital in next year’s draft.

The Lions hold two first-round selections (14 and 18) as well as Picks 41, 60 and 76, but are only expected to use three selections at the draft.

But the fact it’s previously used its strong leverage – it put forward an offer to North Melbourne in an attempt to snare Pick 1 – suggests the club would be prepared to again package up a few selections to get higher up the draft order.

The Giants’ Pick 2 is also in hot demand, as reported by foxfooty.com.au on Friday night, with multiple clubs keen to trade up to that selection in order to get their hands on young gun midfielder Fin Callaghan.

Gold Coast would have to send a future pick back to the Giants if it wanted to move up a spot in the draft order, while Hawthorn (Picks 5, 21 and 24) and Adelaide (Picks 4 and 33) hold selections in the first and second rounds of both the 2021 and 2022 drafts.

After St Kilda’s natural first-round selection (Pick 9), it has three fourth-round picks that equate to 272 draft points

Geelong has four second-round picks (Picks 22, 30, 32 and 34), so is well positioned to move up the draft order and trade with a club keen to split a selection

Sydney and West Coast hold similar draft hands – the Swans have Picks 16, 31, 39 and 70 while the Eagles have Picks 10, 29, 35 and 68 – and are both expected to use three or four picks at the draft

Port Adelaide has a strong first-round selection (Pick 12) then a big chasm to its next selections at Picks 63, 73 and 74

After a big trade period that saw it acquire Adam Cerra, George Hewett and Lewis Young, Carlton (Picks 25, 64 and 82) is only expected to have one or two picks at the draft
