The 10 richest Australians revealed

Gina Rinehart is Australia's richest person by almost $6 billion, the widest margin between first and second on the Financial Review Rich List since the iron ore magnate topped the rankings in 2014.

Mrs Rinehart is valued at $28.9 billion by the 38th edition of the annual list, which charts the 200 wealthiest Australian individuals and families, and is published on afr.com and inside The Australian Financial Review Magazine on Friday.

His wealth surges to $23 billion, up from $7.99 billion in 2019 as he benefits from nearly $2 billion in cash dividends and a strong Fortescue share price.

Their fortunes, driven by Atlassian's rocketing share price, are valued at just under $17 billion apiece, up from $10 billion in 2019.
