ITV Loose Women star Charlene White's mugging horror leaving stranger 'shaking and crying'

The Loose Women host detailed the moment on the ITV News special London Mayor debate where the presenter told Sadiq Khan about the incident as she questioned him about combating crime in London.

Speaking to the four mayoral candidates during tonight's programme, Charlene said: "I saw an older lady who was a victim of crime outside of Waterloo Station early this morning and had to help her because her phone got stolen by muggers."

She added: "Obvs very picky thieves as they took another commuters phone, looked at it, then threw it on the floor.

Charlene was later joined by London Mayor Sadiq Khan and his three main rivals Susan Hall for the Conservatives, Rob Blackie for the Lib Dems and Zoë Garbett for the Green Party.

They appeared side-by-side during a special live debate hosted by the news broadcaster in Clerkenwell, central London.
