In autoimmune diseases, the body’s immune system attacks the body’s organs.

Within MS, the immune system attacks the myelinn, the protective sheath that covers nerve fibers.

They wanted to understand how exposure to cold pushed the organism to divert its resources from the immune system towards maintaining body heat.
