Bollywood News: The Padma awards will be held in the capital city, Delhi. It is held in the Rashtrapati Bhavan and is one of the highest civilian awards of the country. It is categorised into three parts namely, Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri. 'Padma Vibhushan' is awarded for exceptional and distinguished service; 'Padma Bhushan' for distinguished service of the highest order and 'Padma Shri' for distinguished service in any field. Now, actress Kangana Ranaut, Ekta Kapoor and Karan Johar have been named as the recipients of this prestigious awards.
Earlier in the day, the official handle of the Padma Awards tweeted out the list of recipients which are a total of 141 individuals. Kangana Ranaut, Ekta Kapoor and Karan Johar would be honoured with the award for their contribution in the art sector. Here's the tweet:

Kangana Ranaut's sister, Rangoli Chandel reacted to the happy news and wrote, "Kangana Ranaut actor and director multiple national awards winner at the age of 32 on the eve of Republic Day 2020 awarded with Padma Shri one of the highest honours in the country...?" Ekta Kapoor tweeted out that she felt very much "Overwhelmed and Emotional" with the conferred award. She also highlighted the fact that the timing of this news couldn't have been more perfect as her son's first birthday is just two days away. She wrote, "Today, as I'm conferred with the 4th highest civilian honour - Padma Shri, I am humbled. (sic)" Have a look at her tweet here:

Karan Johar too tweeted out the gratitude he felt for honouring him with such a prestigious award. "Overwhelmed by so many emotions right now. Humbled, elated and also thankful for the opportunity to live my dream everyday, to create and to entertain. (sic)" Here's Karan's tweet:
