Kangana Ranaut's latest film Panga has shown what the power of a good word of mouth is. The film which opened with poor numbers on Friday has witnessed massive growth on the second day. The film opened with RS 2.70 crores on the box office on its opening day. However, the growing word of mouth, has witnessed heavy growth. The Saturday numbers for the film doubled by more than 100% - records. On Saturday the film has raked Rs. 5.61crores, making the total of Rs 8.31 cr. The film is expected to do a better business on Sunday as well with Republic Day falling on the day.

Panga is a film about Jaya Nigam (Kangana Ranaut) who is a top kabaddi player is living the life of a working mother in Bhopal. With a stable job in the Railways, a loving husband and child, she does not have many complaints. But she misses the sport and the sense of self-esteem it brought in her life. After a trivial incident, her son insists that she makes a comeback to the sport. In order to make their small son happy, Prashant (Jassie Gill) and Jaya pretend that she is trying to make a comeback.
