DHHS: California COVID-19 variant found in Douglas County - KETV Omaha

The first known cases of the California variant of COVID-19 have been identified in Nebraska, according to a news release from the Department of Health and Human Services.

In the news release sent out Saturday afternoon, the DHHS said 13 cases of the variant known as B.1.429 have been identified across four different health jurisdictions.

In a news release sent out Friday, the DHHS said the first known case of the B-117 variant of COVID-19 in Nebraska has been identified.
