Lue Elizondo, formerly from the secretive Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), claims to have seen the UFO footage. He describes it as showing unidentified floating objects for 23 minutes.
"The video was extremely compelling - one of many - to the point where I remember getting some expertise to look at it,” Mr Elizondo told YouTube channel Fade to Black.
"And when they came back to me, the title of the email was quote unquote 'that UFO video'.".
The YouTube video claims to capture multiple UFOs moving in patterns which scientists find perplexing.
