The ACT has recorded another nine cases of COVID-19 and no deaths in the 24 hours to 8pm on Saturday.

Sunday's update brought the total cases from the ACT's latest outbreak, which began on August 12, to 1586.

There were 982 negative test results received in the 24 hours to 9am on Sunday, the first time the number of daily tests had fallen bellow 1000 since the start of the outbreak.

There were more than 3500 tests conducted on Saturday, October 9 and 1508 tests on Saturday, October 16.
