However, he'll be dealt an even tougher blow just hours later, as he's also agreed to take part in the London Marathon, following an impressive three-stone weight loss.

He cheekily confided to Zoe: "Every time I go on a training run or anything, actually, if I'm going down some stairs, there is part of me that thinks, ‘If I hurt myself in a way that took me out of the marathon, I wouldn't be devastated.’"

He added that while he's fully committed to the idea of raising money for charitable causes, he does wish there was a less exhausting way to achieve that goal.

He added that his wife isn't too miffed about him missing quality time with the family each Saturday morning, quipping: "I half suspect she might have suggested it…”
