Dream Girl box office collection day 3 early estimates: Aysuhmann Khurrana's massy rom-com enjoys a huge weekend

Ayushmann Khurrana and Nushrat Bharucha again showed a good jump yesterday, which resulted in a fantastic opening weekend. As per the early estimates, it has raked in Rs 18 crore on Sunday and now stands with the grand total of Rs 44 crore. The film is expected to cross the Rs 50 crore mark today and has already turned out to be a box office winner because of its economics. Though it will be interesting to see, how it performs in its second weekend as 3 Bollywood films Prassthanam, The Zoya Factor and Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas are arriving this Friday.

Dream Girl marks the directorial debut of writer Raaj Shaandilyaa and also stars Vijay Raaz, Manjot Singh and Annu Kapoor in key roles. It is produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor under their banner Balaji Motion Pictures. It is the sixth continuous hit of Ayushmann Khurrana after Bareilly Ki Barfi, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, AndhaDhun, Badhaai Ho and Article 15. The music of the film is composed by Meet Bros and the lyrics are penned by Shabbir Ahmed and Kumaar.

Talking about the reviews, our critic Susri Sahu gave the film 3.5 stars and wrote, "Watch it for all the hysterical punches and Ayushmann Khurrana's dialoguebaazi. Not to mention, the crackling situational comedy all of the above, make the film." She praised Ayush and wrote, "With effortless comic timing and expressions we didn't think see coming, the actor delivers another knockout performance.
