Snoop Dogg said he'll be voting for the first time this November after being lead to believe he couldn't vote due to his criminal history.

Snoop Dogg revealed that he's never voted before, but will be doing so during the 2020 elections for the first time ever. .

The 48-year-old rapper said he was lead to believe that he wasn't allowed to vote due to his criminal history.

"For many years they had me brainwashed thinking that you couldn’t vote because you had a criminal record," the rapper said.

Snoop Dogg went on to say that 2020 was definitely the year he was going to get out and vote because he wanted to back up his words with action.

The rapper went on to encourage everyone to stay safe protesting during the coronavirus pandemic and noted that he's been trying to stay positive in quarantine

"I want to lead by example," Snoop Dogg said
