The Last of Us Fans, Including Stephen King, Make Fun of its Wild '10 Miles West of Boston' Setting - IGN

As reported by Variety, there is a scene in the latest episode, which we gave a 10/10 and said was a "masterful hour of television," that featured the text "10 miles west of Boston."

While this obviously doesn't take away from the moving story told on-screen, the scene accompanying the text featured mountainous terrain that looks to be from the northwestern parts of North America and not near the much-flatter Boston.

It was previously reported that The Last of Us is being filmed in Alberta, Canada, which would feature some beautiful mountain ranges, so this would appear to be why the scene seemed off.

A lot of times movie/TV magic removes items or scenery that would break the immersion, but this looks to have been missed or not deemed important enough to address.

Allie Mac Key on Twitter responded to the legendary horror author, saying, "That's what you go out of one of the most beautiful episodes of television?"

The image he shared is of Moraine Lake in Banff National Park, which is roughly 2,700 miles west of Boston.
