Following his rematch victory over Deontay Wilder, the ‘Gypsy King’ received his second ‘Fighter of the Year’ award from Ring Magazine in the US.

Fury remarked to the Mail about the lack of recognition in his own country where, “unlike Lewis Hamilton I live and pay taxes which went up to £9million last year.”.

The 32-year-old was named on the shortlist for the BBC ‘Sports Personality of the Year’ award for a second time in 2020.

“I race in 19 different countries, so I earn my money in 20 different places and I pay tax in several different places, and I pay a lot here as well!
